The 40 Days of Lent at Fork

Please join us for these events during the 40 days of Lent in preparation for the Great Paschal Feast of Easter:

Our Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper will be Tuesday, March 4, in the Parish Hall at 6 pm.

Lent begins Wednesday, March 5. There will be a morning Liturgy at 10 am and evening Liturgy at 6 pm. Both services include Imposition of Ashes with Holy Eucharist.

March 9 is the first Sunday of Lent. We will use Rite 1 during the Great Litany and Holy Eucharist.

Our weekly Lenten study program will be Faith & Film: Medieval Christianity which includes a movie screening each Sunday at 12:30 pm and dinner and discussion the following Thursday at 6:30 pm in the Parish Hall, beginning the week of March 2 and ending the week of April 6.

April 6 also includes the Bishop’s Visit and Confirmation.

April 13 is Psalm Sunday. The Blessing of the Palms and Holy Eucharist will be at 10 am. Holy Week begins with the Sunday of the Lord’s Passion

April 17, 18 and 19 is the Triduum:

• April 17: Maundy Thursday – Agape Meal and Eucharist at 6:30 pm
• April 18: Good Friday – Solemn Collects at 6:30 pm
• April 19: Holy Saturday – Liturgy of the Word in the Graveyard at 10 am

April 20 is Holy Pascha: Easter Sunday, with Eucharist at 10 am.
